Through creative play, art and spiritual practices, our facilitators will guide you through a journey of self discovery and help you to unearth the parts of you that get lost in a today’s fast paced world.

ABOUT THE RETREAT :

This Retreat, to celebrate the Divine Feminine and the energy of the Goddess within, has been created with great joy and love by your facilitators Yvonne and Taryn with guest speaker Andrea Desmond - Smith

This Retreat is designed to bring the essence of your Divine Feminine forward, and express yourself through art, quieten  your mind and put your inner chatter into the background.

A combination of spiritual practices of meditation, sound bowl healing and creative self-expression through art allows you to bring out what is experienced in your inner-journey into the outer or physical world for you to observe and reflect on.

When we mindfully connect with Nature, relax and allow our inner child to come out and play, we heal at a very deep level.

MORE ABOUT ARTEMIS ESTATE:

Artemis is the ancient Greek goddess of the moon and untamed places. She is the guardian of every living creatures’ imagination and untamed inclinations.

Artemis is the name given to this piece of beauty in the Franschhoek valley. It is a free flowing playground, created by two artists, Andrea Desmond-Smith and her late husband Kobus Stander.

It is a a place where ones’ soul is deeply touched by nature. - with so many nooks, crannies and art instalation around every corner one can’t help but be creatively inspired.

It is a place that invites you to come to stillness, to enjoy the views, the peace and tranquility. Walk the labyrinth. Stroll through the water gardens with the Lotus flower ponds and return to who you really are.

Friday:

Arrival and settle

16:00:

Meet at The Salamander Lounge for tea.

After a short introduction, we will open the circle to introduce ourselves and share your intention for the session briefly.

Our Guest Speaker, Andrea will take us through an exploration of Greek mythology and the feminine archetypes, allowing us to envision our own personal Goddesses and awaken their qualities within ourselves.

Guided Imagery followed by a Relaxation Meditation, where you are taken on an inward-journey. This will help to deepen the art-making experience, making it more tangible.

19:00:

A delicious plant based Dinner will be served.

20:00:

Saturday:

09:00:

Meet at The Salamander Lounge for Forest Meditation

10:00- 13:00:

Through this process of facilitated art we invite you to observe and reflect on your art as a form of self-reflection and deeper self-understanding.

13:00:

A Delicious plant based Lunch will be served.

14:00:

After, we will have a group discussion focused on your experience and insights gained, rather than the art itself. We will close the session with a grounding exercise.

15:00:

You can choose to stay in the space and continue with your creative work independently or use the labyrinthine and garden space to regenerate and integrate the session of the day in a way that works best for your energies.

20:00:

Sunday:

Together, as a circle, we will welcome and rejoice in the empowerment of the Goddesses and step forth into our own sacred Divine Feminine.

Letting Go Ceremony - with a  Sound Bowl Mediation Healing Journey to release stuck energy and renew your creative spirit

WHO IS THIS RETREAT FOR?

This Retreat is for anyone interested in exploring their intuition, cultivating relaxation, and expressing themselves and nurturing their creativity through art. Skill or experience in art is NOT required, as this session is about self-expression and honoring that process. The session is based on the belief that we all can express ourselves naturally and creatively through art if we allow ourselves.
